Registration opens August 28th and closes September 15th.
First 11 organizations to register will receive a free trailer on which to build their float. Teams will be contacted shortly after they register with whether or not they are one of the 11. Priority will be given to those signing up for all of Homecoming.
Float must be themed in accordance with the Homecoming 2017 theme, “Golden Glory”. This could be either your organization’s interpretation of “Golden Glory”, or general Mines spirit. Designs must be submitted for approval to SAO or kstreich@mines.edu by Friday, September 15th, when registration ends. Design approval will be communicated within two days of submittance.
Every Queen/Beast Nominee must ride in the float of their representative organization and wear their royalty sashes. It is a requirement that all nominees must participate in the parade on a float of their representative organization.
Floats must be registered in order to participate in the parade.

PRE-APPROVAL INFORMATION
Floats must be pre-approved on Thursday September 28th or Friday September 29th. Check times will be released at a later date. Organizations will need to sign up for a time to have their floats pre-approved, and times will be first come, first served. Organizations can sign up for pre-approval times at a link that will be sent after registration. The float will be driven to a campus lot for the parade committee to approve of the size and contents of the float.
The driver must be present at the time of the floats pre-approval mentioned above.
Vehicle signs will be handed out after being approved. This is to be placed on the windscreen of the float vehicle. It will contain the organization’s name, the license plate number of the vehicle towing the float and its position in the line up.
