I acknowledge that participating in the Resurrection Pass Ultra Runs is a potentially hazardous activity, which could cause injury or death: I understand, accept, and assume all risks associated with running in this event, including but not limited to natural and man-made obstacles and hazards, surface and environmental conditions, traffic and off-road vehicles, encounters with wildlife or domestic animals, falls, contact with other participants and volunteers, or effects of the weather, all which in combination with my actions or inactions can cause severe or even fatal injury. I agree to abide by any decision of race directors or volunteers to any aspect of my participation in this event, including the right of any race official or volunteer to deny or suspend my participation for any reason whatsoever. I agree that I, as a participant, must take an active role in understanding and accepting these risks, conditions and hazards. I herewith state that I am in a physically fit condition and medically able to participate in a long-distance running race in mountainous terrain. Having read this waiver and knowing these facts and in consideration of your accepting my entry, I, for myself and anyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release the race officials, race volunteers, the Chugach Run Team, and their representatives and successors from all claims, liabilities, injury and damage of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in the event. I grant permission to all of the foregoing to use my photographs, motion pictures, recordings or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose. *
