In February of 2020, Ms. Ashley Thomas was awarded with a Proclamation from Mayor Vic Collova and the City of Garfield Heights for being the First African American nominated for a full term on the Garfield Heights City School District Board of Education.
Along with this proclamation, February 21st was also named "Ashley Thomas" Day in the city.
Because of Ashley's constant spirit of giving, she has decided to turn this amazing day during Black History Month into a citywide day of service! Beginning at 10:00am on Sunday February 21, 2021 volunteers will head out into the city to complete various service projects!
We are looking for groups, organizations and businesses who would like to receive some form of service in their community! We invite you to submit your city, business or organization's project ideas! Service Day projects can range from litter clean ups, gardening, raking, dog walking, small painting jobs, serving food, cleaning, giveaways, decorating, organizing, letter writing and more!
Please enter details about your project idea below!
