Call for Nominations / Expression of Interest: Board of Directors - October 2024
We are currently seeking nominations for the Board of Directors of Ablaze Vocal Arts Ensemble Inc. in preparation for the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 19 October 2024. Nominations must be received by 11 October 2024 to be considered.

To ensure staggered terms for the initial board, some directors will be serving one-year terms and some directors will be serving two-year terms. You may nominate yourself for consideration by completing the form below. All current directors of the interim board have stated their intention to let their names stand for re-election this fall. 

The nomination committee consists of Webster Fox and Neil Henneberg. They will be receiving and reviewing the nominations ahead of the AGM. The board is aiming for a slate of 5 directors for the upcoming year, with a legal minimum of 3 and maximum of 12. You can contact the committee by emailing nominations@ablazevae.ca.

28 September 2024 - Call for nominations
11 October 2024 - Deadline for nominations
19 October 2024 - Membership votes on prospective Board members at the AGM.

AVAE Inc. Membership Information
In order to be elected to the board of directors, you will be required to be an active member of Ablaze Vocal Arts Ensemble Inc (AVAE Inc.) who is in good standing. This includes having paid your membership fee for the year for the organization. 

In order to be eligible for membership in AVAE Inc., you are required to be an active participant in one of our two primary ensembles, an active participant of our Ignite Sub-Roster, or an active participant in the preparation work and performance of a special project ensemble this term. The organization membership fee is $10 per fiscal year, and is included as part of the tuition paid to participate in Ignite or Ablaze. Other eligible members will be required to cover this fee prior to the AGM in order to vote on motions and be considered for nomination.
