A FREE intergenerational workshop series for 2SLGBTQIA+ Bronx residents.

Join a welcoming space to explore alternative ways of telling your story through film. Work with local artists to express your experiences, experiment with Super 8, VHS, and digital formats, and create your own vivid, self-produced pieces. We'll dive into a range of experimental forms, including experimental documentary, film diaries, anti-narrative structures, expanded cinema, archival footage, visual mixtapes, and stop motion.

Workshops will be offered on different dates and times depending on each session’s focus—sign up to receive more info and choose what fits you best. No prior experience needed—just curiosity and a desire to share your voice. Workshops will be offered in English, Spanish, or both, depending on the session.

Exploraremos una variedad de formas experimentales, como documental experimental, cine-diarios, estructuras antinarrativas, cine expandido, uso de archivo, mixtapes visuales y stop motion.

The workshop focuses on exploring and expressing 2SLGBTQIA+ voices through alternative audiovisual storytelling. Participants will be engaging in discussions and exercises related to gender identity and sexual orientation throughout the program. 

We recognize that gender identity is complex and personal. We ask these questions to ensure our workshop is inclusive and representative of our diverse community. This information helps us understand the diversity of our participants and ensure our workshop content is relevant and inclusive. However, answering is optional, and all information will be kept confidential.
