Abstract: Since the first smartphone hit the market, we have witnessed the rise of mobile computing, mobile sensing, and,  in general, wearable technologies. This has led to the development of what is known as mobile health, i.e., monitoring health metrics and aiding practitioners with information and data collection.
In particular, the past couple of years have attested a new trend for mobile health, with the steady diffusion of wireless earbuds - forecasted to account for a big part of the wearable market. In this talk, I will introduce you to the growing sensory capabilities of the next generation of smart-earbuds (a.k.a. earables) and shed light on the applications these unlock.
