Who can apply for this Scholarship? This process will give priority to:• Public high school counselors • First-time attendees• PNACAC and NACAC Members• Disadvantaged school districts and colleges
What does the grant pay for and what does it not pay for (up to $2,000)? • Registration fee• Travel expenses to and from the conference (Due to liability purposes, PNACAC does not pay for personal vehicle travel expenses or mileage for scholarship recipients (i.e., gas, parking, mileage, etc.) to and from the airport.)• Lodging (double occupancy)• Meals (subject to PNACAC daily limits)• General fees related to conference attendance (e.g. taxi/shuttle service, bag fees, etc.)• 1-year PNACAC and NACAC membershipPNACAC will reimburse allowable expenses after the conference.
Condition of Grant:As a condition of receiving the grant, PNACAC will ask recipients to:• Volunteer for a shift at the registration booth or another conference area• Write a PNACAC Newsletter article reflecting on their experiences at the 2019 NACAC Conference• Submit a PNACAC Reimbursement Form following the national conference
Timeline:The PNACAC High School Counselor Grant deadline is Friday, February 15, 2019, and PNACAC will notify the scholarship winners on or before March 15, 2019. (All applicants will be notified of their application statuses no later than March 15.)
