Bingo Night - Getting items donated from local businesses and organizing the items for prizes for bingo. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year.

Parents' Night Out - This is a once a month event hosted by a local church. We "babysit" foster/adoptive kids and their siblings for 3 hours while the parents have a date. We need people to play with kids. Must pass a background check.

Blessing Boutique - We have so many donations come in, but need people to go through them and sort by size, gender and season.

Gardening - We have a flower bed in the front of our building that needs seasonal flowers planted and weeds pulled from time to time. Our bushes also need to be trimmed

Care Portal church liaison - Serve as the primary connection between our organization and local churches engaged in meeting the needs of vulnerable children and families. This role involves sharing requests from the CarePortal platform with church members, coordinating responses, and fostering relationships with church leaders to expand community involvement.

Marketing - This includes taking flyers around town, especially for our special events.

School Supply/Christmas shopper - Help fulfill wish lists for children in need by selecting and purchasing items based on provided guidelines. They ensure each child receives age-appropriate and requested gifts or supplies, staying within budget. Volunteers may also help organize and distribute the items to families.

Freezer meal preparation - Make nutritious, ready-to-eat meals for foster, kinship, and struggling families. They follow recipes, cook and assemble meals in bulk, and properly package them for storage.

Christmas Party volunteer - Set up, serve, and create a joyful experience for children and families. They assist with activities, distribute gifts, and ensure the event runs smoothly.

Donation Drive - Get a list from For the Sake of One of most needed items and coordinate a drive with your group (church, school, business)..
