Rubrics can be an effective data collection tool for outcomes-based assessment. In this webinar, the presenters will describe the basics of rubric development and use, paying special attention on their utility in assessing student learning and development. As a result of participating in this webinar, participants will be able to: a) describe the primary rubric models; b) discuss key advantages and challenges regarding the use of different types of rubrics; and c) identify key criteria to use in selecting a rubric for an assessment project.
