Public Feedback — Illinois CS State Strategic Plan (2025)
Thank you for reviewing the 2025 ECEP Illinois State-wide Strategic Action Plan. This plan serves to provide policy level guidance to state and district leaders and describe essential priorities in computer science (CS) education for the state. Dozens of individuals contributed to this plan, including teachers, researchers, administrators, industry personnel, out of school providers and others.

Work began during the fall of 2023 as part of the first ECEP Illinois Summit and is based around data and research available at the time. Ideation began after a review of the research and working groups were subsequently formed. Those working groups labored synchronously and asynchronously over the next year. In the fall of 2024, a second ECEP Illinois summit occurred, where more in-person work on the plan transpired. Participants gave feedback and continued to refine recommendations. ECEP Illinois team members then synthesized contributors' output to eventually arrive at the draft plan upon which you are so graciously giving feedback.

Please view the plan from one of the links provided. We are collecting feedback on the current draft. For each goal: (1) rate agreement with the recommendations, (2) note one powerful/positive element, and (3) propose one change/addition/replacement with a brief explanation. Scale: 1 = Strongly disagree ... 5 = Strongly agree.

For qualitative elements, if you propose a change, please use data and research as much as possible to support your proposed change. Citations are appreciated.
