Roper-Cornell Center for Social Sciences Data Conversion Grant Application Form

Roper-CCSS Data Conversion Grants to fund the conversion of historical data currently archived at the Roper Center in difficult-to-use formats, such as ASCII and Column Binary data. While most of the Roper Center’s nearly 24,000 surveys are in modern data formats, approximately 9,000 surveys are still in historical formats. This funding is designed to exclusively help Cornell researchers access and use these datasets for their research.

Roper-CCSS Data Conversion Grants fund up to 20 ASCII conversions or 10 column binary conversions (or a roughly equivalent mix of both) for Cornell faculty, and up to 10 ASCII conversions or 5 column binary conversions (or a roughly equivalent mix of both) for Cornell students.
