STEM Future Leaders Application 2019-2020
The STEM Connection Mentors in Training (MIT) Program is an opportunity for students in 5th, 6th, or 7th grade who have participated in The STEM Connection programs in previous years to continue their involvement in The STEM Connection programming. MITs must be recommended by a STEM Connection staff member or teacher/school staff member and be invited to join the MIT Program. MITs candidates exhibit good leadership potential, helpfulness, and a positive attitude toward STEM.
The STEM Connection Mentors Program is an opportunity for students in 7th or 8th grade who have completed the Mentors in Training Program and are interested in continuing their involvement with The STEM Connection and strengthening their STEM and leadership skills.
Mentors and potential MITs need to fill out and submit this application form and a teacher recommendation letter. Recommendation letters can be emailed directly to Stacie Hernandez, STEM Connection Program Director at
shernandez@thestemconnection.org
. Once submitted, The STEM Connection Executive Director and staff will review the application and notify the applicant about the outcome of the application.
