USTA Foundation Grant Application for Level 1 Coach Education Assistance
The USTA Foundation Incorporated (USTA Foundation) is pleased to offer a grant of up to $1,000.00 (Grant) for each selected applicant in support of obtaining Level 1 Coach Education, to assist with some of the costs associated with completing the training. In order to be eligible for the Grant, the Applicant must meet the following criteria:
1. Applicant must be a National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) affiliated full time, part time, or volunteer
teaching professional or tennis coach.
2. Applicant must be nominated by their affiliated NJTL to receive the Grant.
3. Applicant must be USTA Safe Play approved and current with all Safe Play requirements.
4. Applicant must successfully complete the Level 1 required program which consists of
a. Two (2) online Level 1 courses;
b. Two (2) virtual workshops; and
c. One (1) in-person Workshop.
The USTA Foundation will notify you if you have been selected to receive a Grant. If you have been selected, you will be required to complete all steps in the above criteria before the Grant will be awarded. The Grant funds will be distributed to you directly by your NJTL affiliated entity after completion of the Grant criteria.
By submitting your application for the Grant, you consent to the sharing the information provided in this Grant application and the relevant information necessary to support the Grant award, to be shared with the USTA Foundation, the United States Tennis Association Incorporated (USTA), the relevant USTA Sectional Association (Section), and the affiliated NJTL.
You further consent and expressly permit the use, in any manner, throughout the world, in perpetuity, your name, voice, portrait, likeness, biographical information, testimonials, statements and paraphrases of statements (including but not limited to photographs, video, film and/or other recordings of you), either alone or accompanied by other material, in any media and formats whether now known or later developed, for any purpose related to the Grant, by the USTA Foundation, USTA, Section, and affiliated NJTL.
You also consent to being contacted to learn more about membership opportunities with the United States Professional Teaching Association (USPTA) and Professional Tennis Registry (PTR), the two organizations accredited by the USTA to issue coach certifications.
The USTA Foundation is accepting applications until 8/13/2021.
The requirements to receive an award must be completed by 11/30/2021.
The Grant Award will be distributed to you by your NJTL affiliated entity within thirty days of our notification to the NJTL of your completion of the Grant criteria.
