Poetry Workshop by Caitlin Gildrien

Wendell Berry wrote, “When despair for the world grows in me… I come into the peace of wild things.” The natural world is profoundly beautiful, resilient, and spiritually resonant. The natural world is also disrupted, endangered, and the UN just announced we may have passed a critical climate tipping point. How do we hold both these truths without dulling the blade of either one on the other? How do we go to the woods for solace when the woods are coming undone? How do we write about it all with honesty? Let’s try together.
