EMMS PTA Committee Interest Form - 2024/25

Welcome to a new year at “The Mill”! This year we hope to be able to have more events and activities for the kids and staff. Please sign up below to volunteer 1-2 hrs to planning these events. 6th Grade - If you are a 6th grade parent and would love to volunteer to help plan some special events to help the 6th grader bond as a new class at EMMS, please sign up here.

7th Grade - If you have a 7th grader this year and would like to help plan some fun events just for 7th graders, sign up here. Examples could include virtual game nights, laser tag night, 7th grade meet up at a local establishment.

8th Grade - Sign up to help us plan events throughout the year for our 8th graders. The end of year will include an 8th grade dance and picnic. We also want to plan a couple more fun activities during the rest of the year. Ideas welcome!

Staff Appreciation - Sign up here to help us plan fun meals for our amazing staff. Examples include welcome back luncheon, conference time dinner, end of year luncheon, teacher appreciation week fun, etc.

Garden Club - This year the PTA is helping the school to develop a community garden. This committee will be made up of staff, parents, and students. Please join us in the planning, building, and maintenance of our very own community garden.

School Store - Volunteer to be on the school store committee and help run the store during the lunch shifts at EMMS. Schedule a day to volunteer when you are free. There is a whole team that splits the days. Training available.

Spiritwear - Sign up here to help promote our year round spiritwear shop at https://www.ellicottmillsspiritwear.com/

Fundraising - Sign up here to research fundraising ideas for our PTA. Or to simply help us run our donation drive. You would present options at a monthly board meeting if possible or just email and update to the board. If you would like to help is apply for grants, that is another avenue we could use you for. Researching and applying for grants could be done on your schedule.

Restaurant Nights - If you have time to make a couple forms online, this is a great volunteer spot. We need a couple people to schedule 2-4 restaurant nights for the PTA for this school year. Chipotle, Yama Sushi, Coalfire, and Blondie’s Donuts are a few suggestions.
