RBC YORKTON FILM FESTIVAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM 2020
1. WHAT IS THE RBC YORKTON FILM FESTIVAL MENTORSHIP PROGRAM?

The RBC Yorkton Film Festival Mentorship Program is a two ­year initiative designed with the intent of connecting emerging filmmakers with mentors to provide them with a year­long mentorship to help guide their careers into the national film and television arena.

Up to five (5) participants will be chosen per year.

Preference will be given to applicants who have submitted a film to the 2020 Yorkton Film Festival May 21 –24, 2020.

2. HOW IS THE PROGRAM DESIGNED?

Participants will receive up to 46 hours of mentorship and guidance over the course of one year, which includes a minimum of 28 hours of festival attendance and networking, and up to 2 hours per month which will include phone calls, emails and development consultation on creative projects with your mentor. YFF will use best efforts to ensure the first meeting between participant and mentor will take place in person at the 2020 Yorkton Film Festival (May 21 - 24).

YFF will work with the participants and mentors to monitor the mentorship.

YFF will make best efforts to publicly screen any film created as part of the RBC Yorkton Film Festival Mentorship Program.

3. WHEN IS THE DEADLINE?

YFF must receive your application by 5:00 pm CST March 31, 2020 via Google Document and Email. No extensions will be granted.

YFF will notify successful applicants by April 23, 2020.

YFF will cover successful applicants festival registration as well as airfare, accommodation and shuttle costs associated with attendance at the 2020 Yorkton Film Festival.
