Coach Assignment Application 2017-2018 National Meets
In accordance with Speed Skating Canada regulation B5-1002: all coaches must be NCCP Certified, holding Introduction to Competition certification or above, plus completion of the NCCP Making Headway module.
A budget and list of eligible expenses will be made available to the selected coaches. The level of financial support for each event is under review by the OSSA Board.
Lead coaches and Team Ontario coaches will be required to submit an event summary within 1 week of the event (link to Google Docs questionnaire will be provided by OSSA office).
CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS - Vulnerable Sector
Each applicant must provide a current valid Criminal Record Check including a vulnerable sector check (CRC-VS) prior to being assigned a coaching position. CRC-VSs are valid for a period of three (3) years.

Applications for Canadian Age Class Long Track Championships and Canada East Short Track Championships
These meets are considered Team Ontario events. Only the OSSA selected coaches will participate in the coaching of Team Ontario skaters.

Canada East Short Track Championships: March 31-April 1, 2018 in Lévis, Québec
Applications for national short track and national long track racing circuit.
Canada Cups #1- #4 long track events, National Qualifier, Junior Short Track Championships, Senior Short Track Championships, Junior #2 short track, and Senior #2 short track: The OSSA Coaching Committee will designate one coach as the Lead at these events. The Lead coach will be responsible for administrative work and act as the OSSA representative. Club coaches are encouraged to attend these events with their skaters. Club coaches should still contact OSSA to ensure they receive communications regarding these events and satisfy SSC requirements.
