We will be going to one of the better reviewed movies of late, a Polish movie called Ida, about repercussion from holocaust. Its main character is Anna, a young novitiate nun in 1960s Poland, who is on the verge of taking her vows when she discovers a dark family secret dating back to the years of the Nazi occupation. Its quite well reviewed and an excellent , dark and austere black and white movie from what I hear from those who have seen it.
According to AO Scott from the NY times, the movie is
"One of the finest European films (and one of most insightful films about Europe, past and present) in recent memory"
