Welcome to Sadie Nash Leadership Project (SNLP)!

SNLP is an educational organization that uplifts the power of young women and gender-expansive people of color in New York City and Newark, NJ. We believe that every young woman and gender-expansive youth is a LEADER and we offer a variety of programs to support their leadership and activism in their communities.

We are currently inviting 9th-12th grade students to apply to our 2023 after school program, SIBLINGHOOD ACADEMY! In this program, young women and gender-expansive youth participate in workshops around community building, identity, leadership, media, healthy relationships, wellness, youth activism, and social justice. Using their own life experiences as a starting point, participants discuss important community issues while building a strong sense of siblinghood with supportive peers and adults. Each participant will be in a cohort of approximately 15-20 individuals, led by a team of dynamic & skilled educators. Enrichment activities, field trips, and other educational opportunities will be offered throughout the program!

Participants can earn up to a $200 STIPEND if they have fulfilled attendance requirements by the end of May.

PROGRAM DETAILS:
-Open to 9th - 12th grade students who identify as a young woman or gender-expansive youth
-Class dates depend on which cohort you enter into: 
--------[ CLOSED] Monday/Wednesday 4-6pm in NYC starts on Monday 2/27
--------[EXTENDED DATE] Tuesday/Thursday 4-6pm in NWK starts on Tuesday 3/16 
--------[CLOSED] Saturday cohorts are 12-2pm in NYC, NWK, or Zoom (Virtual), starting on Saturday 2/25

NYC classes take place in midtown Manhattan at 4 W 43rd St. New York, NY 10036 (Suite 502).

NWK classes take place in downtown Newark at 31 Mulberry St. Newark, NJ 07102
