By accessing and participating in any activities on the property administered/managed by the Mountain Club of South Africa (including its national, sectional and local committees, administrators, managers, members, servants and agents), and associated landowners or managers ("the Authorised Parties"), I acknowledge and agree to the following:

I am aware of the dangers of personal injury or death inherent in mountaineering, hiking, scrambling, bouldering, abseiling, rock climbing kloofing, camping and activities incidental thereto (the activities) to which I may be exposed as a result of my access to “the property” and/or participation in such activities and activities permitted or organised by or on behalf of “the Authorised Parties” and I understand and accept that my access and participation in any such activities is at my own risk for which I accept all responsibility.

I hereby irrevocably waive, relinquish and abandon all claims of any nature whatsoever which I may have against “the Authorised Parties”, host or meet leaders, owners/occupiers of the land, arising out of my access or participation in such activities and activities permitted or organised by or on behalf “the Authorised Parties”, for loss or damage to property, personal injury or loss of life, howsoever caused and irrespective of whether the loss or damage occurred as a result of negligence. I further indemnify “the Authorised Parties”, and meet leaders and the owners/occupiers of the land in respect of any claim against “the Authorised Parties”, arising out of my access and/or participation in the activities and agree that I will be liable for all damage caused by lightning of fires, or negligence of myself or those for whom I am responsible.

Medical Consent:
Should I be injured whilst participating in such activities or activities organised by or on behalf of “the Authorised Parties”, I hereby appoint and authorise the host or meet leader (or such other person who is co-ordinating the activity) to consent to my undergoing surgical or other medical treatment which in the opinion of the attending medical practitioner is necessary. I further undertake to pay the cost of such treatment and/or any rescue which may be required.

Binding Agreement:
I agree that the terms and conditions herein will remain binding upon me, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns.
