May's lunch is a garden party close to the Presbytery offices, at Grateful Gardens SJ, a community garden. Grateful Gardens is behind the Community of Christ Church at 990 Meridian Avenue, San Jose. Last year, Grateful Gardens hosted one the few public Juneteenth parties in San Jose in 2022, with support from the presbytery's Peace and Justice Work Group, the Mission and Outreach Work Group, and the Sessions of PCLG and Evergreen Presbyterian Church. 120 attended. A full year of festivals and cultural observances is planned for 2023.

At Grateful Gardens we have comfortable seating, shade, bathrooms, and an indoor hall to move into if it rains (can you believe it?) The menu will be tacos from "EL HALAL AMIGOS" on Lincoln Avenue and vegetarian tapas. Please join us! 

Anyone with ties to the Presbytery of San Jose, one of its congregations, or one of its missions, who works in the general area of social justice/mission, is welcome to join our Summer Networking Lunches. Our goal is for us all to meet each other, share about our projects, and share good food together on a fine afternoon.
