SKGOC Registration for Potential Youth Workers
Dear Potential Youth Workers,
Over the past several years, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America has created an impressive Youth Protection Program to be implemented in each parish throughout the entire country by the end of 2019. All parishes must comply with these regulations. By not complying, our youth ministry programs and events will not be allowed to operate. This extends to ALL Youth Workers, including both Clergy and Laity, who participate in programs or events that primarily serve children and youth.
In order to continue working with the youth of our parish and any other parish, the policies require all potential Youth Workers to be registered and to undergo training. Part of the registration process includes undergoing a background check. This background check will NOT be completed by our Parish.
Please fill out the following form if you intend to be a Youth Worker. This information will be sent to the Metropolis Youth Director.
Once your information is submitted, you will receive an email within a few weeks from Praesidium (our official youth safety vendor). Praesidium will provide links to videos and courses for Youth Protection Training purposes and a secure place for you to submit your legal information for background checks, including your social security number (which will not be shared with our parish).

Thank you for your cooperation and your help in keeping our youth safe!
Yours in Christ,
