We will have a leader training event for all Awana leaders on Wednesday, Aug. 16.
The first night of Awana clubs is Wednesday, August 23 (6:15 - 8 p.m.)
Club DirectorOversees one age-specific Awana club (i.e., Puggles, Cubbies, etc.). Responsibilities include communicating vision, shepherding leaders, managing administrative duties and communicating to church leadership, parents, children and leaders.
Club SecretaryProvides administrative support by maintaining attendance and achievement records using the Approved Workman computer database.
Adult LeaderKeeping with our Purpose Statement an adult leader builds relationships with a small group of clubbers to help them learn and understand handbook sections and Bible lessons. Actively participates in all club segments (i.e. Handbook Time, Large Group Time, Game Time).
Student LeaderTeenager or pre-teen who serves as an Awana leader in a younger club under the direction of adult leaders.
Large Group TeacherTeaches children age-appropriate Bible lessons in a large group setting. Song LeaderLeads song time in an age-appropriate way in a large group setting. May sing, play an instrument and/or lead hand motions.
Game DirectorPlans and leads age-appropriate games during Game Time. May direct Game Time in one or more clubs on the same night.
