If you are passionate about sustainability, love being close to nature and would like reduce your carbon footprint and to work in a unique garden, then this is the place for you!

The AurĂłra Climate Garden is not a traditional community garden - here we are creating an edible 'pocket garden' where the aim is to restore the natural ecosystem. Using permaculture and regenerative agro-forestry techniques, we're creating a living, self-sustaining microclimate that helps reduce the urban heat island effect and sequester carbon. Our volunteers play a key role in this process, whether it's making compost, caring for native plants or organising community events.

How to apply:
  1. Visit us to have a look around, ask questions and decide if this project is for you. Our Climate Garden is different from traditional community gardens, so it's worth finding out in advance.
  2. Fill in the questionnaire below.
  3. Come along to our first in person meeting where you can meet the team and find out more about how the garden works.
  4. Finally, visit the garden regularly or help us online.
