Magical Bridge Tennis Training for Neurodiverse Participants
When: Sundays, 3/22, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3 (6 sessions)
Time: 10:30 am -11:30 am, (60 minutes per class)
Where: Mitchell Park Tennis Courts 3&4, 3700 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto
Requirements: Students need a water bottle, hat (if possible), sunscreen and a tennis racquet, if you have one. No need to purchase one.
We provide: Instruction, balls, racquets for students who need one and, of course, lots of kindness and magical fun for all!
Magical Bridge is delighted to present this Kindness Ambassador (teen volunteer) run and staffed fun tennis program for people in the developmental ages between 8-20 years old. Kindness Ambassadors have experience working with kids and teens of varying abilities but are not professionally trained to manage challenging behaviors. Please be aware that the program will be run by teens who may need a parent or caregiver's assistance at a moment's notice. This is not a drop-off or respite program, rather an opportunity for young people to get to know and enjoy each other while outdoors and playing an organized sport. The head coaches are Ava Randall and Sophia Stravrakos, 12th graders and founders of the Magical Bridge Club at Los Altos High School.
