Thank you for your interest in joining the team of Unitarian Universalists who are willing, able, and prepared to take concrete actions to support trans UUs when called upon, and be accountable to trans folks. Such actions could be everything from promoting calls for donations to having conversations / interventions with UUs who are causing harm to sending care packages to trans UUs in need. Engage on Facebook with anti-trans sentiments being posted by UUs or non-UUs, when called to do so

Serve as an active bystander at General Assembly and/or other UU gatherings, ready and able to intervene in transphobic situations

Temporarily house a trans person who is unhoused or needs to escape a transphobic living situation

1: MINIMUM: I don't feel confident in my abilities to do direct accomplice work, like helping people understand why they have to respect someone's use of “they/them” pronouns, or challenging anti-trans arguments about bathrooms, but I'm here to help however I can and I'm committed to learning more! 3: MEDIUM: I know a few trans people and I care about them a lot. I'm mostly confident in my ability to advocate for them, but I feel like there's still a lot I don't know. 5: MAXIMUM: I am in direct relationship with many trans people of a variety of identities, including many non-binary people, and I am very confident in my abilities to directly and articulately advocate for them with others. I would put my body on the line for trans people if called to do so.
