AudienceWoodland stewards, backyard tree enthusiasts

As the saying goes, “The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago. The second-best time is now.” Planting trees on your land is a great idea for many reasons, but if you haven’t done it before it can be a daunting task! In this workshop we’ll cover the basics of sourcing trees, site selection, tree choices, and best practices for planting and caring for trees. If you want to plant a few trees in your yard, or hundreds in your woodland, you’ll gain tips and tricks to help you succeed.

Participants are asked to bring a pair of work gloves if you have them to use during the hands-on practice portion of this workshop. Dress for the weather, we will be outside.
