New York Regional Hallmark Awards
Your chapter is required to submit the verbal presentation and the poster presentation and is welcome to submit for as many additional awards as they wish.

Verbal Presentation
All chapters present are required to prepare a 5 minute verbal presentation about something unique about their chapter. This can be something that works for your chapter, something your chapter does that makes it a fun, exciting, and active chapter. Your chapter’s presentation should be original and NOT based on one of your Regional Hallmark entries. Please enter the topic of your chapter's presentation here.

Poster Presentation
What: In an effort to recognize the work each chapter does throughout the year, we invite all chapters to bring a poster board presentation at our Poster session on Saturday morning after the general session. We ask that all chapters display a poster board of their HIA project or College Project to their peers. This poster board session will allow members to share the work they have done and find out what other chapters have done. Award criteria: At the end of this session, each delegate will vote on which poster presentation should be awarded the Region's "Best Posterboard (popular vote)" award. Additional Information: The top 3 poster board presentations, as voted by popular vote, will be awarded each year. Yearbook Award
What: This award is presented to a chapter for creation of a physical record of chapter activities and events. Award Criteria: The criteria for judging are the creative layout of the book and the comprehensive documentation of a year of chapter activities and events. Additional Information: Please bring the yearbook with you to Convention and present it to the Hallmark judges before the Saturday morning general session. The top 3 Yearbooks will be awarded each year.
Digital Media Award
What: This award is presented to an individual for the maintenance of a Facebook page or website which documents all chapter events and activities. Award Criteria: The criteria for judging are the average number of posts/updates, the addition of features such as photos, fliers, or calendars, and the creative nature of page. If media is not publicly accessible, chapter advisor must be present for judging. Additional Information: Please send a link to the Regional Hallmark Coordinator by the deadline indicated above. The Top 3 Digital Media pages will be awarded each year.

Phi Theta Kappa Programming Awareness Award
What: This award will recognize chapters that promote scholarship through trainings, workshops, projects, and activities. This should be any PTK program other than the Honors in Action project or the College Project. Award Criteria: Provide evidence of the chapter promoting PTK programming among members, non-members, or the college. This entry should include a 300-500 word explanation about how this PTK programming is unique to your chapter and explain the tangible benefits to the participants in the activities. HIA and CP programming does not qualify for this award. Additional Information: Please send document to the Regional Hallmark Coordinator by the deadline indicated above. Up to 3 awards will be given each year.

Chapter Progress Award
What: This award celebrates chapters that can demonstrate an increase in membership, activities, or participation in Regional events. Award Criteria: Provide documentation for both current and previous year’s membership/activities/participation in Regional events. This entry should include a 300-500 word explanation about exactly how the chapter has progressed from the previous year to the current year. Awards will be determined based on demonstrable increased chapter activity. Additional Information: Please send document to the Regional Hallmark Coordinator by the deadline indicated above. Up to 3 awards will be given each year.

What: This award will recognize chapters that promote leadership through trainings, workshops, projects, and activities. Award Criteria: Provide evidence of the chapter promoting leadership among members, non-members, or the college. This entry should include a 300-500 word explanation about how this leadership promotion is unique to your chapter and explain the tangible benefits to the participants in the activities. What: This award will recognize chapters that promote fellowship through trainings, workshops, projects, and activities. Award Criteria: Provide evidence of the chapter promoting fellowship within the chapter and college. This entry should include a 300-500 word explanation about how this promotion is unique to your chapter and explain the tangible benefits to the participants in the activities. Additional Information: Up to 3 awards will be given each year.

Academic Achievement award for a Non-Traditional Student Award
What: This award will recognize Phi Theta Kappa members 25 years of age and over who has maintained a 3.5GPA for their academic career. Award Criteria: Nominate a chapter member to receive this award by providing a 250 word explanation which includes: Member’s name, age, GPA, and why this student should be recognized for academic excellence. Chapter may nominate as many qualified students as they want. Additional Information: Please send document to the Regional Hallmark Coordinator by the deadline indicated above. Up to 5 awards will be given each year.

5 Star Competitive Edge Pinning Ceremony
What: We will offer time for all chapters to recognize all their members who completed the 5 Star Competitive Edge Program and provide their students with the Competitive Edge pin. Award Criteria: Students must have completed the 5 Star Competitive Edge program. Chapters should purchase and bring their own pins for their students.
