The ICE Society Mentorship Award celebrates individuals who make a lasting impact within the hockey community by supporting the healing, growth, and empowerment of children and youth through meaningful mentorship. This award recognizes referees, players, parents, siblings, fans, coaches, managers, safety personnel, and on-ice helpers who foster confidence, compassion, and personal growth, helping young athletes navigate challenges and thrive both on and off the ice.
Eligibility:
Open to anyone involved in the hockey community, including referees, players, parents, siblings, fans, coaches, managers, safety personnel, and on-ice helpers.
Criteria:
Provides compassionate guidance and mentorship that supports the emotional and personal growth of youth.
Acts as a positive role model by promoting empathy, teamwork, and respect.
Creates an inclusive and encouraging environment where youth feel supported and valued.
Helps break down barriers that prevent children from participating in hockey, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to experience its benefits.
