Thank you for choosing to become a Marching Bengal! The Marching Bengals have been one of the most visible, active and accomplished groups at Fuquay-Varina High School for more than 40 years. The Marching Bengals provide each of its members with unique opportunity to join other hardworking young people in pursuit of excellence in performance and positive character development.
Marching Band at FVHS is a co-curricular activity. Students must be enrolled in either Symphonic Band or Wind Ensemble to participate in the Marching Bengals unless they are in Color Guard. Color Guard members are not required to be in a band class, though they may choose to do so if they have been in middle/high school band classes.
Complete and submit this form to begin your child's registration for the 2023 Fuquay-Varina High School Marching Bengals. Parents, your child's registration for marching band is not complete until you complete steps 1-3. Your child is NOT in marching band until all 3 steps are done.
STEP 1: Mr. Edwards has confirmed that your child is enrolled in band class (except for color guard members who do not play an instrument)
STEP 2: You complete this online registration form.
STEP 3: The BBFV Treasurer has received your first assessment payment.
All steps MUST be completed by April 15 or you will not be written into the show. Be sure to take care of all the steps by April 15.
You may pay more than the first payment amount if you like. The payment amount is based on your child's experience level in marching band. There is a different cost for new members versus veteran members. In addition, siblings and students on scholarship have different assessment rates. We'll explain all the details later in this form.

Later this spring I will email you a few forms required by WCPSS. Be sure the email address(es) you enter on this registration are accurate so that these forms reach you. Your child cannot participate in band camp or other marching band activities unless I have these forms completed with your signature.

Plan about 20-30 minutes to complete the entire registration. The goal is that when you hit "submit" at the end of the form, your child's online registration is 100% complete. Please complete the registration in one sitting. The process is rather lengthy but if done correctly I won't need to come back to you later for other information.
You CANNOT edit this form after you submit it. I understand that having to complete all this a second time to fix a typo in an email address or phone number would be a big hassle. Please take care to read questions thoroughly and enter all information accurately.
