2024 USPA Tournament Application
Applications for tournaments are open from October 24th until November 5th. 
The USPA Competition Committee will evaluate all applications and aim to finalize the calendar no later than November 27th. 

- All tournaments in 2024 will be run on Padel Manager.

- Padel Manager will retain 5% of the entry fees. In 2022 the USPA retained 20% of entry fees so we are pleased to be able to offer a complete software solution at a lower cost. Clubs are responsible for their own prize money if they choose to offer prize money.

- Clubs will create their own profile in Padel Manager. Players will register and pay on Padel Manager. Clubs will be required to link a Stripe account with their Padel Manager account and receive payments directly into their own bank account the week after the tournament has been played. Padel Manager has offered increased software support in the second half of 2023, and that will continue in 2024.

- Clubs are able to find sponsors for their tournaments and the club keeps all sponsor money to help cover their expenses, offer prize money, and make a profit.

- On the tournament flier, clubs will be required to include USPA sponsors. These USPA sponsors help support the national teams and the administration of the association.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT YOU’D LIKE TO APPLY FOR.

The following tournaments make up the USPA tournament calendar,  

Open Category - For players of any age. 

Master Final (1) - The year end 8 team championship. To host a masters final, your club must also host a USPA Junior tournament at some stage during the year. 

Major Championship (4) - Minimum $5000 prize money funded by the club. 4 events spread across the 4 regions of the country. Held at a new club each year. Plan for 3 days for this level. To host a Major Championship, your club must also host a USPA Junior tournament at some stage during the year. 

USPA 1000 (4) - No prize money minimum, but clubs that offer prize money have a greater chance of hosting a USPA 1000. 4 events spread across the 4 regions of the country. Held at a new club each year. Plan for 3 days for this level. To host a USPA 1000, your club must also host a USPA Junior tournament at some stage during the year. 

USPA 500 (12) - No prize money requirement. These events do attract a high caliber of play.

USPA 250 - No prize money requirement. Suitable for less busy clubs or those hosting a 2 or more tournaments. 

USPA 100 - No prize money requirement. Suitable for less busy clubs or those hosting 3 or more tournaments. 

Senior Category

Divisions offered are determined by IPF and APA, these are Men’s 35+, 45+, 55+ and Women’s 30+, 40+, 50+. All divisions must be offered at registration, draws can be combined post registration if there are not enough applicants. Players will be awarded rankings points in for the category they entered in.

Tournaments will be approved based on the number of applications with no more than 10 nationally. 

Senior Master Final (1) - The year end championship.

Junior Category 

Boys and Girls 18-Under, 16-Under, 14-Under, 12-Under

Tournaments will be approved based on the number of applications with no more than 10 nationally. 

Junior Master Final (1) - The year end championship.

Clubs may choose to host a Senior and Junior, or an Open and a Junior, on the same dates if their club size allows. However clubs may not combine an Open, with a Senior tournament on the same dates.

Tournaments will be awarded based on location, past performance of tournaments, compliance with USPA tournament rules, and willingness to host lower level tournaments as well as higher ones.

In 2024 all entry deadlines will be the Thursday of the week before a tournament is due to be played at 11:59am. Draws must be published by Monday 12 noon before the tournament. For example, if your tournament is on January 12,13,14. Entries would close on January 4, and you should publish draws no later than January 8, 12 noon.
