Volunteer Application: Outside in Equinox Fall 2018
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the 1st Annual Outside In Equinox! We can't wait for you to join us in helping create a magical experience in the oak woodlands of the Santa Barbara mountains!

We are dedicated to creating a positive, fun environment while embracing new creations within our dynamic festival environment. We intend for our relationship with our volunteers to be based on the principal of equal energetic exchange and appreciate individuals who embrace this idea with us. We are primarily interested in volunteers who are aligned with our philosophical values and support us in our desire to make this event as green as possible.

Please review the following information regarding volunteering:

Upon the receipt of your completed application, you will be notified if you have been accepted as a volunteer, as soon as possible. Space is limited, and volunteers will be accepted (and assigned their preferred team) on a first come first-come-first-serve basis. If you are accepted we will confirm you as a volunteer by email with more information about placing your deposit to secure your spot (and desired shifts) with us.

In the "Finding Your Niche/Scheduling" section, you will find brief descriptions of the various teams that may need volunteers. You will select your first, second and third preferences. Selecting a team as your preference does not guarantee you will be assigned to that team, however, filling out this application early on is your best way at securing your desired team.

Once your application is accepted, you will be sent information about putting down your deposit. You will not be assigned a team/shifts until your deposit has been received. Confirmed volunteers will be emailed their shifts by the end of the first week in September.

All volunteers are required to work three shifts ranging from 4 to 6 hours, depending on the team and how many volunteers sign up (encourage your friends!) In the interest of being equitable, all mid-fest volunteers will be assigned a morning, afternoon and (possibly) night shift. Please do not ask if you can work two shifts in a day as it is likely we will need volunteer support throughout the entirety of the festival. You may trade shifts with other volunteers, just make sure to confer with the Volunteer Coordinator.

For your shifts you must:
         - Check-in with the Volunteer Coordinator at the Volunteer Booth ten minutes before your scheduled shift
         - Check-out with the Volunteer Coordinator at the end of your scheduled shift (unless otherwise notified)
         - Arrive ready to work (do not show up hungover!)
         - Bring a water bottle and sunscreen!

Arrival information will be sent to confirmed volunteers the week before pre-fest (10th-17th). All volunteers are required to arrive the night before their first shift unless otherwise arranged with the Volunteer Coordinator.

Our goal will be to have a reserved volunteer camping area where volunteers will be able to camp together and get to know each other should they choose to.
