Student Cable Television's primary responsibility is to offer programming in the interest of the UCSC community and to the greater public. With the exception of FCC and University rules, SCTV will not allow any censorship (“prior restraint”) of content by any agency outside of SCTV. It will also serve as a training ground for UC Santa Cruz students wishing to gain a greater understanding of media or pursue a professional career or vocational activity in a related industry.
