Call for Confessions!
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Museum Studies program at the University of Toronto, the MMST50 committee would like YOU, our amazing alumni, to think about your stories of the risks and rewards of Museum professionals.

What does risk-taking mean to you? What have been your greatest lessons learned, your sweet successes, or your valuable failures? Draw from your experiences and send us your stories from working wherever your career has taken you.

All submissions will remain anonymous - do not include your name or the name of the institution in your submission.

Submissions will be shown at a pop-up exhibit at the Faculty of Information Alumni Reunion Celebration event on May 30th at 6pm in the Inforum.

MMSt50 Organizers participated in "Confessions of A Museum Professional" at the 2018 Ontario Museum Association conference. Inspired by “Post Secret,” an ongoing community mail art project, and activated by Diane Pellicone and GoEMP, the project proved a huge success. We wanted to build on its participatory postcards and pop-up exhibition components for MMSt50. Please learn more about Diane, "Confessions," and the work of GoEMP and the OMA here: https://bit.ly/2V8es9z

All confessions will be displayed on postcards. If you happen to be at an upcoming alumni event, you can fill one out in person! But if you are not around or happen to be out of town, your submission will be transcribed to a postcard for the display.
