Thanks for your interest in the Lower Columbia River AI Summit, to be held at ESD 112, October 11, 2024.
The deadline to submit a proposal is Friday, September 6, 2024. Presenters will be notified by September 13, 2024.
We are looking for presenters with the following:
1. Enthusiasm for and experience with using AI safely and equitably.
2. Sparkling personalities, at least when you're in front of a room of people.
3. Patience! Your attendees will have varying levels of experience.
We are looking for presentations that are:
1. Related to equitable integration of AI tools in the classroom or administration of AI tools in a district.
2. If possible, related to concepts around AI use rather than just one tool (but if you do have a great idea related to just one tool, please do submit it!)
3. Hands-on. Summit attendees will have devices and want to follow along with you.
4. Focused time-wise and audience-wise. Most sessions are limited to 50 minutes and our audience is teachers, paraeducators, coaches, school support staff, and leadership (both school administrators and IT leadership).
5. Shareable. We ask that materials be posted on the summit website to be viewed by all attendees.
We'd especially like to see submissions about using AI tools with special education learners! We may make suggestions about presentation ideas or titles based on interests expressed by potential attendees.
More information about presenting:
1) Approved presenters will attend the summit for free. (Presenter registration information will be sent when presentations are accepted)
2) Presenters may submit more than one proposal. Submit one proposal per form.
3) Presenters must provide their own presentation device (laptop, Chromebook, iPad, etc....) and any special adapters necessary. We may have a limited supply of loaner devices upon request.
4) Presenters may attend other sessions when not presenting.
5) Lunch will be provided for presenters.
