OSGeo Ireland Symposium 2019 - Call for Participation
The organising committee of the 3rd Annual Irish OSGeo National Symposium are delighted to announce the official call for participation in this event.
As in previous years, the format of Lightning Talks will be used as it accommodates as many presentations as possible whilst showcasing a wide variety of FOSS4G and OSGeo applications in Ireland. Lightning talks will be strictly limited to 7 minutes. There will be a separate call for posters (which will not have a presentation attached). The call for posters will be issued in the coming weeks.
Ideally, presentations should focus on the use of FOSS4G and OSGeo applications and software by large companies, SMEs, individuals, national and local government, academia (students, researchers, academics), volunteer communities, citizen scientists, etc who are based in Ireland.
Please use the form below to submit an ABSTRACT of your proposed lightning talk.
Deadline for submission of your abstract is Friday March 29th 2019 at 23:59:59 [EXTENDED]
The organising committee will review all of the submissions and make a selection. Presenters will be notified of the outcome of this review quickly. This will allow contributors to still avail of early-bird registration rates. Lightning talk presentations must be emailed to Peter Mooney by Tuesday, April 9th 2019 to allow for insertion into the slideshow for the symposium.
Email Addresses are only collected to allow us to contact you in relation to the acceptance or status of your abstract. These addresses will not be passed onto any 3rd parties nor will they be used in any marketing or commercial ways.
