Submission of this application is a commitment to attend and vend at Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market. Vendor agrees to submit payment upon submission approval. Vendor agrees to read and be responsible to comply with all the rules and regulations in this contract. Submissions received without payment or communication after approval will be automatically waitlisted. Please allow a few days for approval and add carrieralston@gmail.com to your contacts. (Check your spam folder and contact us at this address if you do not receive a response.) 

Vendor Rate
The Vendor fee is $100 per 10'x10' space. You will need to get a peddler license from Paramus (see below).

Under "Start New Application," pick “Business License” from the dropdown menu. Make sure to upload your driver’s license.

**There will be no refunds in case of inclement weather. Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market will go on rain or shine. (Prayers for shine graciously accepted!)

Set up
  • Vendor set up begins at 7am (two hours prior to event start) with cleanup beginning promptly at the conclusion of the event (5pm to 6:30pm). A 10'x10' space will be provided and Vendors will be responsible for bringing their own tents/tables/chairs/displays. Any and all trash must be removed by the Vendor. Cars cannot drive onto the lawn or sidewalks, so please be prepared to cart/dolly your items onto the great lawn or sidewalk. (No food trucks or vehicles will be permitted to vend on the lawn.) Tent setup is permitted only when your items have been carted into your space AND your car is parked on a side street (we reserve the Church parking lot for customers coming to the market).
  • Wifi will be available. Unfortunately, electricity will not.

Rules and Regulations
  • Vendors are solely responsible for the payment of NJ Sales Tax and for maintaining product liability.
  • Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market retains the right to refuse rental space to any exhibitor and may restrict products sold or ask for removal of objects or merchandise for any reason at any time. No religious or political solicitation permitted. Vendors may not assign their contract for exhibit space or permit any other person to use part of such space (one vendor/business per 10'x10' space).
  • Merchandise must be arranged in a neat and attractive display. Vendors are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner and may not interfere with other Vendors. Items must stay within the assigned space and may not extend into the aisles or other Vendors' spaces. Failure to comply may result in removal from event and Vendor may be banned from future events. Vendors must be set up and present for the full length of the event. Breakdown will begin promptly at the close of the event (5pm to 6:30pm). Vendors agree to remove all trash and debris belonging to them upon vacating their space. Vendors will be held liable should an accident occur within the Vendor's space or caused by the Vendor’s display or debris left by the Vendor.
  • The sale of knives, box cutters, gel candles, spray foam, fake cigarettes, streamers, sparklers, fireworks, bomb bags, stink bombs, snappers, hover boards, self-balancing boards, drones, electronic cigarettes, hemp products, marijuana, CBD products, pornographic material, firearms, weapons, ammunition, self-defense products, explosives, fire-fighting equipment, herbal or dietary supplements, motorized scooters or wheelchairs, homemade furniture, homemade toys (other than crafts/woodwork crafts), security systems, bean bag chairs, operating parts of automobiles, motorcycles, motorized bicycles or boats, adult toys, prescription or cosmetic lenses or prescription footwear, smoke and/or odorous items flammables or any item deemed illegal under the law is strictly prohibited. The sale of cigarette lighters to minor children (under the age of eighteen) is strictly prohibited. The sale of any unlicensed, counterfeit products or products bearing counterfeit imitation or colorable trademarks (no “knock-off” or bootleg items), or other false descriptions or designations of origin, or any other items that are illegal to sell in NJ is not allowed.  
  • Vendor agrees not to sell food, beverages or anything edible without securing a food permit from the town of Paramus, NJ, before the event. No alcohol, liquor, beer or wine allowed. 
  • Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church and its volunteers/workers shall not be liable for property damage, personal injury or damages of any nature suffered by any person (including attendees while within the Vendor’s space or accidents caused by the Vendor) or by the Vendor, its agents or employees, which may occur on or about any part of the subject's premises, regardless of how such injury or damage may have occurred. Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church is not liable and may not be held responsible for any loss before, during or after the show. In addition, Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church is not responsible for any merchandise left unattended for any reason, at any time and is not responsible for any theft or loss at any time. Vendor waives any claim against Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church and its volunteers/workers, and assumes all liability for loss or damage to Vendor’s property entrusted to the premises. Vendor shall hold harmless and indemnify Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church and its volunteers/workers against all liability or expenses arising out of any claim of injury or damage to any person or property, together with all cost in connection with the defense thereto, including attorney fees. 
  • Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church will not be liable for the fulfillment of this contract if the event is cancelled for weather conditions, cancelled due to the threat of unsafe conditions, authority of the law, strikes or Acts of God ,or canceled for any reason within or beyond their control. No refunds or credits will be issued if a Vendor cancels for any reason. Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church will not be liable for damages, loss or injury for any reason within or beyond their control. Insurance for such loss, damages or injury shall be the sole responsibility for each Vendor at their own cost. Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church reserves the sole right to revoke the agreement regranted within this application for any reason whatsoever and at any time by refunding the fee paid by the Vendor. Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market/Christ Lutheran Church will not be liable for lost revenue or any other liability whatsoever beyond the fee paid by the Vendor as a result of enforcing this provision.  
Food Vendors
  • Vendors with any type of food (even pre-packaged) MUST must secure a temporary food permit from the town of Paramus, NJ, in advance of the event in order to vend. Visit https://www.paramusborough.org/289/Licenses-Permits to download the application.

I understand no refunds will be granted for any reason including inclement weather or cancellation. I give permission to use my name, business name and any images of myself and my work for advertising and publicity. I further agree to comply with any other show regulations Christ Lutheran's Vendor Market deems appropriate. Failure to do so may result in immediate removal from the event and exclusion from future events.
