We're excited that you want to be a volunteer at PyData Seattle 2023! Please fill in the details below by the 3rd of April and we will let you know if you have been selected.

Conference dates:
Wednesday, April 26-Tutorials
Thursday- Friday, April 27-28: keynotes, talks

Example Volunteer Duties:
- Check-in at registration desk
- Introduce speakers 
- Ensure talks start and end on time
- Moderate Q&A 
- Answer or appropriately redirect questions from attendees and speakers
- Appropriately redirect any Code of Conduct complaints

Please Note:  We are asking that you devote at least half of your time at the conference helping with any of the tasks that need to be done. For example, if you attend for two days, you will be expected to volunteer for one day's worth of time. We will try to be flexible with scheduling so that you can spread out your free time over the days you attend. Volunteers will receive free admission to the conference. No travel or accommodations are covered.

PyData Mission
PyData is an educational program of NumFOCUS, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the United States. PyData provides a forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The global PyData network promotes discussion of best practices, new approaches, and emerging technologies for data management, processing, analytics, and visualization. PyData communities approach data science using many languages, including (but not limited to) Python, Julia, and R.


We aim to be an accessible, community-driven conference, with novice to advanced level presentations. PyData tutorials and talks bring attendees the latest project features along with cutting-edge use cases.
