Summer Arts Stages Employment Application 2025
The following is a formal application for employment as a theater camp counselor/instructor with Summer Arts Stages, a non-profit touring children's theater company based out of East Grand Forks, MN.  All applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma.

Job Description:
Summer Arts Stages brings the joy of summer theater camp to small rural communities all over Northwestern Minnesota and Northeastern North Dakota.  Over the course of the summer, two different teams of 4-5 collegiate counselors travel to our partnering towns and, in five days, produce a 45 minute musical with campers going into 3-9th grade.

Each team of counselors works together to teach singing and choreography, block scenes, fit costumes, and instruct the children in basic theater skills.  They also do art projects, lead games, and build meaningful and safe relationships with the campers they serve.  Because our counselors are often just stepping into a professional role for the first time, the Summer Arts Stages Program Director is also an important part of the team.  This licensed theater and education professional will provide training, guidance, support, and logistical support for the counselors all summer long, even though they are not always physically at the camps each day.

For more than 30 years, Summer Arts Stages has provided enriching, life-changing exposure to theater and the arts to thousands of children across the region, often times in communities that would otherwise not have access to such programming.  We fully believe in our motto: Theater is for EVERYONE.  We are looking for engaging, excited, and committed young staff members to learn and grow with us.
