This form is designed for college or university students who would like to request a field placement experience with the Iowa School for the Deaf (ISD), the Iowa Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired (IESBVI), or our parent organization, Iowa Education for Deaf and Blind (IAEDB). These requests include field experience placements such as practicum experiences, student teacher placements, or general internship assignments.

The Iowa School for the Deaf has been helping students thrive, both academically and socially, since 1855. ISD is a language immersion program offering both day and boarding options. We provide individualized instruction for pre-school, K-12 and 12+ students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Iowa Educational Services for the Blind & Visually Impaired works with infants, children, teens and young adults with visual impairments in the state of Iowa. We work with Iowa’s Area Education Agencies and school districts, providing support for students to successfully learn in and out of the classroom.
