Ship-side Gangway Attendant: Promote ticket sales (to be sold at head of pier), understand weekend schedule, promote Tall Ships Maine (text provided), know a little bit about the ship, **Be meticulous about checking people in off a printed manifest, and giving them a 'sticker' boarding pass, and check passes before allowing on ship
Ambassador: Promote Tall Ships Maine/mission (text provided), promote ticket sales (to be sold at head of pier), be outgoing, have great communication skills, proactive, TSM Alumni preferred, welcome people with ship at pier during tours, sail on vessels during all sails
Ticket Sales: dedicated to transacting ticket sales, explain sailing times & when to arrive etc, be detail-oriented to ensure transactions are complete, be friendly and make it easy for customers, explain what sales go towards, continuously communicate with Ticket Coordinator (Janelle and Janelle's helper)
Merchandise Sales: watch inventory like a hawk, be responsible for cash box and credit card sales, account for beginning and ending inventory, be friendly and communicative, explain what sales go towards be familiar with online store (if ready)
Promoters: at head of pier/wharf, sidewalks, everywhere, promote SchoonerFest, provide information (times of sails, where to go, how to see ships), generally promote ticket sales, understand mission of TSM fundraisers, be familiar with vessels
Traffic Control: sole purpose is to keep Maine Wharf clear for businesses and people's safety, be able to talk about SchoonerFest, explain where to buy tickets, walk up and down wharf continuously particularly at head of Wharf.
Technology: ensure strong WiFi signals outside of RiRa, support wireless printing, support a printer (to print manifests), obtain and distribute/manage Square readers, possibly manage radio communications
Signage: set up and take down signs, keep signage prominent and current
Runners: 1-2 runners per shift to fill in everywhere/anywhere
