2025 Grand Marshal Nomination Form

The Manistee Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting community input for Grand Marshal in the 2025 Independence Day Parade, part of the Manistee National Forest Festival. The Grand Marshal is a local hero that embodies the spirit of Manistee County and leads the parade down River Street: both in recognition of the Marshal's achievement and in celebration of this place we call home.

Nomination Criteria:

- The Grand Marshal will be selected on the basis of his/her contributions to the quality of life in Manistee County. These include: civic and/or social services; humanitarianism; personal achievements in the areas of the arts, sports, etc.; or based on the distinction that he/she has brought to Manistee County resulting from achievements elsewhere.

- Nominee should be a current or long-term past resident of Manistee County.

- Individual must be willing to act as the Grand Marshal.

- Must have a car to be in the parade.

-Nominee must be willing and able to attend the Independence Day Parade in Downtown Manistee on Friday, July 4th, 2025.

Application deadline is Thursday, May 15th, 5:00 pm.
