Feb 27, 2020 Interest in MIB Ambassador Agent Training
Thank you for your interest in becoming a MIB Ambassador Agent.

Ambassador Agents are people who have experience living with osteosarcoma - either as a Warrior or a caregiver and are interested in supporting a family dealing with an osteo diagnosis. Warriors, or family members, can request an Ambassador Agent when first diagnosed or at any point during their treatment and recovery. Your willingness to be there for warriors and their families during their most challenging time is an amazing gift - THANK YOU!

To ensure you are prepared to become an Ambassador Agent (AA) MIB will provide you with a free Ambassador Agent (AA) training and for those over age 18, ask you to sign off on a background check which will be done at MIB's expense.

The AA training will prepare you in best practices to support a warrior and his/her family members. Listening skills, ways to build trust, stages of grief and recovery, stress management and the ever popular 'elevator speech' are the foundation of the training. Being an Ambassador Agent is a rewarding experience for both you and the family you are matched with. Please understand that you will be supported through each mission you participate in just as you will support your family. At the end of the training you will be asked to complete a training evaluation. Once that is returned you will be issued your MIB Ambassador Agent certificate and swag.

To become an Ambassador Agent we ask that you be one year out of treatment, including major surgeries, and be comfortable with your own journey so you are prepared to support someone in the midst of theirs.
