How to Hedge Your Crypto Crime Exposure: Tools and Techniques

🔵 Erin West is a Cybercrime and Crypto Prosecutor in Santa Clara County's elite high tech investigative force - REACT Task Force. Mrs. West was recently recognized by Forbes for being one of the few US prosecutors who have successfully recouping money swindled by crypto criminals.

As a Deputy District Attorney, Mrs West and the Task Force she is part of have successfully taken down international SIM swappers, disrupted fraudulent call centers abroad and fought romance investment scammers known as pig butcherers. She is currently focusing on crypto assets and has managed to freeze stolen crypto funds on some of the most popular crypto exchanges.

🔵 Rupert Poland leads Marsh's UK Financial Institution's Digital Asset team, who service many of the leading digital asset custodians, exchanges and service providers. Marsh's Digital Asset Risk Transfer Team were the first to write and place a Digital Asset policy with Lloyds of London, develop third-party staking insurance and create a Digital Asset Specie facility.

🔵 Maya Yankova is an experienced professional with 22 years in insurance, banking and capital markets such as asset management & investment intermediaries. In the last 14 years she has been dedicated to insurance practices both on brokerage and customer side with focus on RES (renewable energy sources), asset management, restructuring and business digitalization. She is currently Head of Corporate Business & Specialty Practice in Marsh's Bulgarian office.

🔵 We welcomed Jarek Jakubcek from Binance, the largest crypto exchange in the world. Jarek has over 12 years in legal enforcement, working for the Irish Police and the Europol Cybercrime Centre. He has provided strategic and operational support to major cryptocurrency investigations since 2014. He recently joined Binance as Head of Investigations in Asia-Pacific and is currently leading Binance's LE training program for agencies worldwide.
