When We Gather, We Are Home celebrates the growing presence of California and West Coast Indigenous faculty and students at UC Berkeley through a day of shared experiences, perspectives, and scholarship. The afternoon features a special presentation by Ron Goode, Elder and Chairman of the North Fork Mono Tribe, on the resurgence of cultural fire in California, followed by a dance from Intertribal Youth Connections, a Wintu/Pit River youth dance group dedicated to honoring intergenerational knowledge and cultural heritage.
