Venue Rental: Performance

Thanks for your interest in performing your show at the Waterfront Museum and Showboat Barge.

The Waterfront Museum charges a venue fee per event per day. Extra time for load-in, rehearsals, and strike is available at an hourly rate.

Our capacity from May to October is 149 people. The barge has a lighting grid overhead with Chauvet stage lights (4 fresnels & 18 pars) and a light board that can be hooked into a computer, a sound system with 3 mikes and 3 mike stands, 4 speakers plus one special mobile spotlight, seating for up to 100 people, one restroom on site, one restroom on the pier, a backstage green room for the crew. The Museum does not provide a sound technician. The Museum will provide a house manager who will welcome guests at the gangway, give an introduction to the space if so desired and oversee the smooth running of the rehearsals and shows.  The Museum also publicizes the shows to our Constant Contact list of close to 10,000 people.  For public shows, we also create a website page and help promote the show to our press list. Past shows can be viewed on our website [currently under construction, we'll insert a hyperlink here when that webpage is set].

Your company would keep all proceeds of refreshments (no alcohol is permitted) and merchandise sales. The performance company is in charge of setting your show price, running the box office, running all technical aspects of the show. The Museum’s logo must be included on the program, press release and all promotional materials. A $1 million liability insurance certificate naming the Museum and our landlord is required. Specific names for the insurance certificate will be supplied. A notarized hold harmless agreement is required as well as a COVID 19 contract addendum. An invoice will be created and will serve as our contract agreement.  50% deposit required for venue rental confirmation and 50% due 2 week before your performance.
