Wisconsin Historical Society COVID-19 Public Information Poster Campaign
Public information posters have long been a part of history. In keeping with that theme and to address what is going on around us in the world today with COVID-19, the Wisconsin Historical Society will commission ten Wisconsin artists to create new public information posters.
Public Information Poster Examples
This will be the Society’s second COVID-19 public information poster campaign. The first campaign was over the spring and summer of 2020. Examples of posters from the first campaign can be found at
The Wisconsin Historical Society will award $600 per commission to nine Wisconsin artists. An additional 6 High School artists will be selected to receive $100 for their commissioned poster. The newly commissioned posters will be announced in mid-summer and then one design will be highlighted every week through September 7th. These posters will be distributed digitally through multiple networks, including the Wisconsin Historical Society’s website, social media platforms and museum affiliates. All commissioned work will also become part of the Wisconsin Historical Society’s poster collection.
Wisconsin artists, this is your chance to make work that will be distributed throughout the state and will inspire us all to stay strong, safe, and united.
