My work centers around using 3D printing, scanning and design to create new devices to help individuals in need. We research technologies that are needed and then create those technologies using the tools in my lab. As such, I provide you with a particular set of skills in the lab and often let you guide where you want your projects to go!

This form will get you onto my contact list for getting training in the 3D printing research lab. By filling it out, you are simply getting onto an email list where you will be kept up to date on what projects are going on in the lab and how you can get involved. Its up to you to follow up and participate. You will get out as much as you are willing to put into the lab!

3D printing prosthetic hands/arms/legs

Assessing current 3D printed prosthetic designs using scientific testing protocols to meet some minimal standard of quality (think "FDA" tester)

Using hobby electronics/mini-computers to invent new technologies (e.g. we are currently making tremor detecting/mitigating watch))

Using arts and crafts techniques (casting/molding, airbrushing) to create realistic cosmetic prosthetics

Learning how to program apps for augmented/virtual reality

Using 3D printing and design to create unique fashion pieces/accessories
