Expressions of Interest to host IASSIST Africa Chapter Regional Workshop for 2025 and 2026
The International Association of Social Sciences Information Service and Technology (IASSIST) Africa Chapter organizes annual workshop in the different regions of Africa. IASSIST Africa Chapter is now desirous to receive expressions of interest to host the 2025 and 2026 IASSIST Africa Regional Workshop at your institution in your country. The IASSIST Africa Chapter Executive Committee works with the host in the planning processes of the workshop. By accepting to host this workshop, the host is expected to note the following:
  1. Write a letter of acceptance to the Executive Committee (EC) of the IASSIST Africa Chapter after being selected.
  2. Sign a Memorandum of Understanding with the EC of the IASSIST Africa Chapter.
  3. The IASSIST Secretariat may provide fellowships for some workshop delegates.
  4.  Constitute a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) to manage the preparation and running of the workshop in liaison with the EC of the IASSIST Africa Chapter.
  5. The host shall communicate on a regular basis with the EC IASSIST Africa Chapter regarding the workshop preparations.
  6. The LOC in consultation with the IASSIST Africa Chapter EC will identify and invite the keynote speakers and decide on the structure of the workshop program.
  7. The workshop program may include a general meeting of the IASSIST Africa Chapter Members. 
  8. The LOC shall share a workshop report including; financial and evaluation reports after the hosting of the workshop.
  9. The preferred timing of hosting this workshop is the last week of October.
