2019 South Seas Youth Internship
A South Seas Youth Internship provides a young person with the opportunity to gain valuable experience, learning opportunities, mentoring and skills development for one academic year. Successful applicants will receive a capped internship stipend to assist with course or study related costs. In addition to this, successful applicants will also receive career mentoring, access to an internship programme designed to develop the skills and knowledge of the young person and support their academic and professional goals. The internship will be for the 2019 academic year.

By filling out the application form, you are applying for a South Seas Youth Internship for the 2019 academic and calendar year. Please note that regrettably there is no follow up for incomplete applications. Incomplete or incorrectly completed application will be considered ineligible.

Eligibility Criteria:
* The applicant must be aged between 15 and 18 years old at the time of applying for the internship.
* The applicant must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident
* If aged under 18 years old, the applicant must have the support and permission of parents/guardian
* Commitment to the Internship is for the 2019 academic year (with compulsory requirement to attend monthly workshops on skills, personal and academic development)
* Participation in the South Seas internship programme is open to young people from across South Auckland.
* Internship placements are made based on the compatibility of the student’s (applicants) interests and academic background and the development needs of the applicant and the ability to meet those needs.
* Applicants must make a commitment to the internship programme if successful.
* Please note if applicants are successful, additional documentation may be requested (e.g proof of citizenship, age and study)
* Successful applicants will be required to attend an Internship programme launch on Tuesday 16 April, 2019
